"Izinga" which signifies an aspirational benchmark or level of achievement in the Zulu language, applies to both the enclosed community of Izinga Ridge and to the new open suburb of Izinga.

Proposed as an open suburb with attention to open areas where one can walk, run, cycle and generally enjoy the open spaces. Approximately 250 sites are proposed in the first phase of a potential 2000 unit project.

Launch of the first phase of the suburb of Izinga is now happening. Site extents range from approximately 700m² to 1500m². Izinga will feature homes within a broader price range, which still meet Tongaat Hulett Developments' high standards of quality, design and management.
